The system

What Speedpanel is, and why it beats Hebel on site

A steel shell around a lightweight aerated cement core. Panels click together tongue-and-groove, vertically or horizontally, in lengths up to eight metres. Built to replace non-load-bearing blockwork.

Vertical steel wall panels joined edge to edge, the same principle as a Speedpanel wall
DryNo water on the floor

Hebel and blockwork are wet trades. They need adhesive or mortar, then jointing, then curing, then render and paint before anything else can touch the wall. They're heavy, which often drives extra structural support. And they hold an area of the floor hostage while they dry.

Speedpanel is a dry trade. Panels arrive cut to length and go up clicked together. Coloured-steel panels come pre-finished, so no render, no set and no paint. The wall is done when it's up.

That difference is the whole argument. Not the panel, the programme.

Our method

Why we come in under a gyprock crew

Most builders default to a plasterboard crew, because that's who they know. On a fire or acoustic wall, that's the expensive option once you count everyone who has to follow them.

01

Set-out

We come to site, take the set-out off your drawings and confirm the certified system that meets your FRL and Rw.

02

Cut to length

Panels ordered to size and delivered to the floor. No cutting yard, no stockpile on your slab.

03

Install

Track down, panels clicked in, fixed off. What takes a gyprock crew days of framing, sheeting and setting goes up in a fraction of that.

04

Seal & hand over

Every pipe, cable and duct passing through the wall is fire-sealed to the certified system, then handed over with the documentation your certifier asks for.

OneCrew, trade and price

You're not comparing one trade against one trade

A framed and sheeted fire wall isn't a single trade. It's a framer, a sheeter, a setter, a painter, a fire-sealing contractor, and the certifier who signs off the lot. Every hand-over is a delay and a margin.

We quote the finished, certified wall as one line. One crew comes in, the wall goes up, the penetrations get detailed, you get the paperwork. Put our rate per square metre against five trades, not one. That is where the money actually is.

And because the wall is finished the moment it's up, the programme behind it doesn't wait. On a tight floor cycle that's usually worth more than the line item.

Faster floor cycles

No curing, no render, no return visits. The wall is complete on the day, so the trade behind you isn't standing around.

One trade, one price

No coordinating five subcontractors around a single wall, and no gaps between them for something to go wrong.

Certified and documented

Installed to the tested and certified system, handed over with the documentation your certifier needs.
